David Carlos bags Bronze Medal in 2018 FIBA 3×3 Slam Dunk Contest

David Carlos won the bronze medal in the recently concluded FIBA 3×3 World Cup slam dunk contest at the Philippine Arena.

Two-time world titlist Ukraine’s Dmytro “Smoove” Krivenko took the gold medal (79 points in the final) and France’s Guy “Frequent Flyer” Dupuy settled for a silver (60 points).

The professional dunker, who played for San Sebastian College in high school and University of Santo Tomas in college tallied a total of 46 points.

In his series of dunks, the 5-foot-9 Filipino first threw down an off-the-bounce windmill for a score of 21, before leaping over a tower of two people for a score of 25.

In the qualifiers, the champion of the 2017 FIBA Chenglu Masters took the last finals spot after scoring a total of 47 points last Sunday, June 10.
