Journey's Arnel Pineda rocks Chile Musicfest

Arnel Pineda the new Pinoy frontman of world renowned rock band Journey wows crowd in the band's first live performance in Chile.

Journey's rockin performance at the Chile's FESTIVAL VIÑA DEL MAR late February kept the 15,000 screaming fans to its feet with the band's energetic performance and Arnel's unbelievable strong vocals.

The band was awarded the "highest award" in the competition of the festival - the group received the LA GAVIOTA DE PLATA (The Gull of Silver) maximum award. Journey beat out the competition by a popular order of the public (in attendance and tv viewership); Earth, Wind & Fire was one of the opponents in the group category.

Arnel Pineda, himself, won two awards, the prestigious Gold and a silver during the competition amongst vocalists on the second day of the Festival of the Vine of the Sea. The band even got 2 deafening encores!

Journey

This July, the band tours the U.S. and then heads to Europe. The new album titled “Revelations” is due in June. The CD will be released in a package set to include the live DVD of a performance of the band in Las Vegas last March 8. Rumors of a third disc in the package featuring the band's biggest hits re-recorded in late 2007 are still unconfirmed.
