Pinoy national cagers tune-up in Singapore
The Philippine National Basketball Team, bound for the South East Asian competition in Thailand this December are coming to Singapore for a series of tune-up matches.
The team is a gold medalist contender after a 2 year absence from the international basketball circuit.
This year's team is an All-Star cast of MVP's from the top NCAA and UAAP schools - De La Salle University, Ateneo de Manila University, University of the Philippines, Far Eastern University, San Sebastian College, Adamson, Philippine Christian University and the University of Sto. Tomas.
The RP team is led by former PBA player 6 foot 7 Alex Crisano, gunner Patrick Cabahug, UAAP MVP Jervy Cruz and playmakers Eugene Tan and Boyet Bautista.
Other members of the RP team include Jason Castro, Beau Belga, Jonathan Fernandez, Erick de la Cuesta, Boyet Fernandez, Chad Alonzo, Alan Salansang, Jef Chan, Ty Tang and Rico Mairehofer.
The RP team head coach is Junel Baculi, Asst. Coach & South East Asian games Gold Medalist Louie Alas, asst. coach Ryan Dy of Harbour Centre & former Philippine team point guard Erick Arejola head the coaching & management staff.
