Jericho stars in Hollywood film
Jericho Rosales
After the phenomenal success of his soap "Pangako Sa 'Yo" in other countries, especially in Malaysia, actor, recording artist and band leader Jericho Rosales is truly going international.
He stars in the Hollywood movie "Subject: I Love You," which was shot recently in the Philippines.
Jericho auditioned for the role along with other Filipino actors. The lead stars in "Subject: I Love You" are Briana Evigan who's the female lead in "Step Up 2 The Streets" which is still showing in Manila; Dean Cain who starred in "Batman and Robin," and Filipino–American actor Dante Basco who appeared in "Hook" among other Hollywood films.
Dante Basco was also one of the Filipinos and FilAmerican talents who received awards from the 1st Filipino-American Vision Awards held at Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
Aside from doing a Hollywood film, which certainly is a big break for Jericho , he is also the male lead in a ground-breaking drama series jointly produced by ABS-CBN and a Malaysian production company called Double Vision. Playing his leading lady is Carmen Soo, one of Malaysia 's finest actresses. Taping for the series will begin on April 30 and it will be shown in both the Philippines and Malaysia for two months.
The series will be aired on ABS-CBN later this year. Jericho indeed has gone a long way ever since he entered showbiz at age 17, after winning a talent search in l996. His showbiz career reached greater heights when he joined ABS-CBN's Star Circle Batch 4 in l997.
As actor, singer, songwriter, dancer and director (he directed two music videos and co-directed, with Gary Valenciano, his own two-night successful concert "Raw Energy") all rolled into one, Jericho 's most successful project to date is still his teleserye "Pangako Sa'Yo" opposite loveteam mate Kristine Hermosa, which launched his career to wider reach. The series was a big hit in Malaysia and Cambodia, making Jericho an official Asian hearthrob.
