A Filipino professional has made it to the finals of the Singapore's newest reality talent program LIVE THE DREAM.

Robert Sunga is one of 10 finalists in the brand new show aired on Singapore's top rated network MediaCorp Channel 5.

LIVE THE DREAM is a brand new reality talent show for aspiring singers aged 25 and above with a golden shot at fulfilling the dream. Contestants have a choice of two categories to compete in: the Solo or Group category. The winners of both the Solo and Group category get to win fabulous cash prizes of $40,000 and $60,000 respectively.

What's more, both winners get a chance to have an exclusive concert showcase! It's a once-in-a-lifetime chance to breathe life into their dreams — and cast them into reality!

LIVE THE DREAM premiered on Channel 5 on Singapore's National Day, Aug 9 2007 with a one-hour audition special @ 8.20pm. From 15 Aug onwards, performance shows will telecast on Wed at 8pm, with the results show at 10pm on the same day.

The 30 year old Robert Sunga who is an architect and landscape artist by profession in Singapore is the only Filipino in the competition.

Describe what you do daily in your day job

I am a landscape designer. We design landscaped environments for residential, commercial (projects) and resorts.

When did you first discover your calling in music?

Six years old, when my parents volunteered me to sing in a community program.

Why do you love music?

Because my life won't be complete if I never sing or listen to it.

Ever performed a gig/ show in public before? If yes, tell us more.

Yes, I sang in a local variety show in the Philippines, Filipino community gatherings in Singapore, fashion shows and ceremonies etc.

No.

What rituals must you perform before you go on stage?

Deep breath and a small prayer.

Possess any non-musical talents?

Yes, drawing and designing architecture and landscape.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

From people who aspire to reach their goals despite their disabilities or difficulties.

Do you compose your own tunes?

Yes, sometimes.

What made you join this competition?

I don't want to miss the opportunity to be in the spot(light). Life is short and I wanna make a difference and enjoy it at the same time.

Pray tell, what do you do for leisure?

I travel around, cook, window shop, watch movie and TV.
