Finally, motivational book for RNs, nursing students
By Lloyd Luna
Dear Lloyd,
Lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay natin may reason, and through that it make us tougher to face new chapter or new test in our life. But if we surpassed all of this runs parang mas masarap ang pakiramdam, mas nagiging maganda ang pagharap natin sa buhay...
Regards,
Aphrile
Thanks Aphrile for that wonderful thought. I got your message posted under Bends and Turns, a poem I composed for those who are either experiencing turbulence up there or rough roads down somewhere.
Let me break one promise I made last week. I'm sorry that I can't publish the second part of the “Two days, memorable moments...” I decided to reserve it some time soon.
What I have for you now is the simplest press announcement of my new book entitled “Nurse Your Future.” I'm excited with this one. And I mean it! So I dedicate this column for registered nurses and nursing students out there. Hope you can join me on the Sept. 30 for the launching.
Here's the press material.
Out of more than 78,000 who took the local board in 2007 and with 700,000 nursing students in the Philippines alone, who will succeed and who will fail? Nobody would know. But the fact that there will be some who will make it and some who will break it remains. And so the only valid question left is, "Do you have what it takes to succeed?" Tough question, right?
On Sept. 30, best-selling author and favorite Filipino motivational speaker Big Lloyd Luna takes the center stage during the first Philippine Nursing Expo at SM Megatrade Hall to launch the very first motivational book for registered nurses and nursing students.
The 180-page book entitled “Nurse Your Future” (LLOYDLUNAPublishers, 2007 Edition, P350), has some secrets that can help you understand the motivation and practices to pass either the local board or NCLEX. It intends to advise you on how success is made in the medical field.
The expo runs from Sept. 28-30. The books will be available during the event. There will be a book signing and meet-the-author sessions on the last day after the book launching.
“While many people see nursing profession as a venue to make money, you'll find out that the book simply disagrees on that. You have a life to live. And we mean real life—a happy, fulfilling, abundant life of a nurse,” the country's foremost career philosopher explained.
“Success or failure is not a choice that other people make for you. It's your personal decision. Passing the exam is not as hard as seeing your self failing it,” Big said in a prior interview.
He added, “You've got to make a choice. You're given more time than you would need. You just have to learn some secrets to make it. The book wants to teach you how to achieve your dreams and live the best life you can ever have. It wants you to nurse your future.”
Big Lloyd has featured the inspirational story including the secrets of success of Prof. Rachell Allen, a Filipino-American nurse who has created a name in the medical field in the United States.
PROF. RACHELL ALLEN, RN, MSN, FNP-CS, is an epitome of a successful, passionate Filipino-American nursing professional with a 14-year experience in Pediatrics, CCU-ICU, Medical–Surgical, OB-Gyn. She worked as a family nurse for 9 years and had a 10-year teaching experience in the Philippines and the United States. Her success story in the field of medicine has been touching thousands of lives around the world. She is the president of Rachell Allen Reviewers USA.
Value your dreams,
BIG
