OPM singer hailed champion in London’s Stars of Albion Grand Prix

Filipino singer Rachel Gabreza emerged as the champion of the Stars of the Albion Grand Prix 2018 held in the United Kingdom.

The Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) member won the Stars of Albion Grand Prix professional category of the 5th International Performing Arts Festival & Competition organized by Musica Nova International Academy of Music and the World Association of Performing Arts.

Gabreza was selected as part of the competition after performing “Go the Distance” by Michael Bolton, the song that proclaimed her a daily winner in ABSCBN’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan (TNT)” singing contest in 2016.

The OPM artist then went on to win the final round of the 2018 Stars of the Albion with her rendition of Jennifer Hudson’s “I Am Changing,” the song she sang to defeat the TNT defending champion.

ABSCBN reported the artist beat 30 contenders from the countries of America, Great Britain, Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Greece, Cyprus, Estonia, India, Georgia, Armenia, Latvia, Ghana, and Malta.
