Pinopela wins International A Capella Competition

Filipino a capella singing group Pinopela dominated the 2016 International A Capella Championships held in Singapore, winning the overall championship along with the international category and judges choice awards.

The group’s performance also bagged the Most Impressive Soloist Award for Anthony Castillo, and the looping category for Zsaris Mendioro.
The 8-member Pinopela performed Bruno Mars’ “Treasure,” Adele’s “All I Ask” and “Skyfall” for the international competition.
The group members are from the St. Louis University Glee Club in Baguio City.
