UP Law Back-2-Back Southeast Asian Champs in Stetson Moot Court

The University of the Philippines College of Law team won its second Stetson Annual International Environmental Moot Court Competition Southeast Asia rounds title, making it back to back champions.

The UP team won the 2018 championship title, Best Speaker, and Best Overall Memorial in the Stetson Moot competition regional rounds for South East Asia. UP also won the 2017 Stetson regional rounds.

The 2018 Stetson SEA championship team composed of Marianne Vitug, Marianne Estioco, Mikee Bernardino and Sheigne Miñano won against University of Cebu in the final round.
Vitug was named Best Speaker.

The UP College of Law revealed the championship team will represent the Region in the 22nd Stetson International Finals at the Stetson University College of Law in Florida, USA this March 2018.

The UP team will compete against the other winners of the Stetson rounds in Africa, East Asia, Eastern and Central Europe, Ireland, India, Latin America, and North America.

The UP law students will face the other regional champions in the most prestigious and competitive moot court competition focusing on international environmental law issues which focuses this year on the theme, “Responses to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and Transboundary Wetlands.”
