Lodriga, dubbed the Little Picasso of the Philippines, won in the elementary school category with his painting “Where No Man Has Gone Before.”

The Junior Picasso 7-Star Artist awardee from La Salle Greenhills competed in the Mars Society tilt against over 140 students around the world, and won with his own depiction of a phase of the human future on the planet Mars, from first landing to full settlement.

Lodriga’s art work will be included in a book on Mars Art, along with a feature on the Mars Society website.

The Mars Society is also awarding Lodriga with $1,000 and a trophy, along with an invitation to the 2017 International Mars Society Convention at the University of California in September to display and talk about his art.
