Popular noontime variety show Eat Bulaga has made a tradition out of airing Lenten special episodes in lieu of its regular live shows on Philippine television.
The Eat Bulaga Lenten Specials, which recently won in the GEMS Hiyas ng Sining Awards, feature its variety show cast in dramas that highlight Filipino values to commemorate Holy Week.
The teasers to the 2019 edition of the Lenten Specials featured Maine Mendoza and Paolo Ballesteros with National Living Treasure Apo Whang Od in their location shoot in the Cordilleras.
