6-year-old Jan Alexander Quintos launches book at Barnes & Noble New Jersey

Filipino-American Jan Alexander Quintos has launched his book at Barnes & Noble New Jersey – and he is just 6 years old.

“I Am Jan Alexander: 3 Amazing Stories” author Jan Alexander Quintos from Bloomfield was the featured author at the book launch and signing event of Barnes & Noble Clifton on April 28.

Jan Alexander’s father, Alex of Sisig Republik, told Good News Pilipinas of the impact on their family of having their youngest publish his own book, “We are all very happy. And Jan is always excited every single day.”

The young author also did all the illustrations of the book with its 3 short stories about school, vacation, and the zoo.

Good News Pilipinas also learned the prolific writer and artist has 4 more book projects in line to be published by June – “Have you seen Jacob” and “Four Season of Happiness” – while working on a coloring book and a sketch book.

The child of Filipino parents – Alex and Ethel – both from Manila moved to the United States where their 3 children, including Jan, were born.

Asked how Jan Alexander embraced his Filipino heritage his father said, “He eats Filipino food everyday!”
