Filipino singer and stage actress Aicelle Santos represented the Philippines’ Filipino talent at the the Asian Culture Carnival held in Beijing, China.

Santos was featured in the Carnival together with around 8,000 performers from all over the world including Korean singer-actor Rain, Italian singer Andrea Bocelli, and Hollywood superstar and martial artist Jackie Chan.

Prior to the May 15 event, Aicelle Santos shared on social media her excitement to perform on the same stage with world class talents which showcased 40 different Asian cultures.

Santos posted on her social media accounts, “With pride and honor, we raise our flag! Let’s go PH!”

In China, Santos performed a powerful rendition of “Nais Ko” composed of National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab.

GMA 7’s Aicelle Santos performed wearing a red terno and was accompanied by dancers wearing Filipiniana-inspired costumes while executing movements resembling “Pandanggo sa Ilaw” on an interactive mega-stage.

The Asian Culture Carnival held in Beijing National Stadium also known as The Bird’s Nest, was part of the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations attended by 30,000 people including Asian leaders.

The grand event, with its theme “Celebration of Youth, Dream of Asia” aimed to strengthen the connection and exchanges among Asian countries.
