Albay High School Choir wins 2 titles at Certamen Internacional in Spain

Ligao National High School Voice Chorale won the two top titles in Spain’s international choir competition, duplicating the achievement of UP Singing Ambassadors last year. Credits to Philippine Information Agency Region 5.

Ligao National High School (LNHS) Voice Chorale from Albay brought home pride and honor to the Philippines after winning the two first prize awards at the 65th Certamen Internacional de Habaneras y Polifonia in Spain.

The Bicolano choir won the titles of Habanera champion and Polipony champion at the 2019 edition of the competition where the multi-awarded University of the Philippines Singing Ambassadors (UPSA) won the same awards in 2018.

The Filipino choral group bested competitors from South Korea, Ukraine, Colombia and the host country, Spain, to win the first prize awards of the 65th Certamen Internacional held in Torrevieja where UPSA also performed as a guest champion choir on July 22.

The LNHS Voice Chorale went on social media to thank their supporters and dedicated their triumph to the Our Lady of Peñafrancia, the miraculous patroness of Bicol region.
