Alden Richards says there’s no place like his hometown of Laguna

Filipino actor and ‘Pambansang Bae’ Alden Richards expressed his love for his hometown, Laguna.

As one of the country’s biggest stars, Richard Reyes Faulkerson, Jr. popular known as Alden Richards amplified his love for his hometown by gracing debut issue of Lifestyle Laguna.

In the interview with the Laguna magazine, the 27-year-old actor said although he was born in Pasay, Manila, “there’s no place like home” as he was “raised all his life” in Laguna.

The 2018 GNP Filipino Pride Icon shared that growing up, his family used to rent a small apartment in a crowded street in Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

Before entering show business, he joined several local pageants and earned titles such as Ginoong Santa Rosa 2009 and Ginoong Laguna 2010. Before the AlDub phenomenon hit the country by storm in 2015, Richards has been, in his way, promoting what Laguna has to offer.

In March 2014, Alden Richards joined TV host Tonipet Gaba in Laguna food trip episode of public affairs show, Pop Talk.

By October of 2014, Richards portrayed his kababayan from Calamba, Dr. Jose Rizal.

in the GMA Public Affairs production of Ilustrado, a TV series about the life story of the Philippine national hero.

Alden Richards was able to explore Laguna’s famous Pagsanjan falls in March 2015 in one of the segments in Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’s summer episode.

In July 2016, AlDub love team was born and the rest is history.

In December 2017, Alden Richards gave Dabarkads – Eat Bulaga’s fans and followers, a tour of his Laguna house via a vlog posted on Eat Bulaga’s YouTube channel, the first time the actor and host revealed to the public his private home.
