Los Angeles’ HiFi Kitchen has teamed up with the non-profit Apl.De.Ap Foundation to feature the Filipino-American singer’s family adobo recipe in a fundraising event benefiting typhoon relief efforts in the Philippines.

For his birthday this year, Apl.De.Ap is partnering with HiFi Kitchen to serve diners in L.A.’s Historic Filipinotown his mom’s rendition of the classic mouthwatering dish that involves chicken marinated in vinegar and soy sauce.

“This year I’ll be dedicating my birthday to help fundraise for the people impacted by the typhoons in the Philippines,” Apl.De.Ap wrote in an Instagram post.

“Unbreakable: Adobo in Action” is a special collaboration between the singer and the Filipino-owned restaurant who will be serving Apl’s secret family recipe for adobo on December 5, 2020. All sales from the event will go to the Philippine Disaster Relief Organization (PeDRO).

“All proceeds from Apl’s adobo orders will go towards PeDRO…We stand united with our family across the ocean, showing that although we may be far, our bond from HiFi to the motherland is unbreakable,” says HiFi Kitchen.

HiFi Kitchen’s customers will also get a chance to meet Apl.De.Ap himself by pre-ordering tickets for the singer’s adobo dish. Limited quantities are available and can be ordered on https://www.hifi-kitchen.com/events
