Cebu Island has been ranked among the Best Travel Destinations in Asia in the latest edition of the Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice Awards.
The Visayan island in central Philippines joined the 2019 list of the Top 25 Travel Destinations in Asia in the survey conducted by Trip Advisor, the world’s largest travel site.
Trip Advisor describes the Cebu island offerings: “From the cosmopolitan metropolis of Cebu City and the white-sand beaches of Mactan to the electric-blue waters of Kawasan Falls and the whale sharks of Oslob, it’s easy to see why Cebu Island is one of the Philippines’ top destinations.”
Travel and Leisure magazine’s World’s Best Awards also recently cited Cebu as among Asia’s best islands.
Cebu, the lone Philippine entry in Asia’s best list, succeeds Panay Island in the Visayas which was chosen in the 2018 edition of the rankings.
The July 2019 edition of Trip Advisor’s Traveler Choice Awards determined the winners by quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions and traveler booking interest on TripAdvisor.
