The Philippines’ bet Emilia Vergara Encabo-Hann of Cebu raised the country’s flag in the world of pageantry after winning the 2019 Mrs. Globe International Queen title.

The newly-crowned Pinay beauty queen bested 25 other candidates from all over the world in the classical category (40 years old and above) to win the title during the coronation night on September 22 in Manila.

The 42-year-old Cebuana paid homage to her roots and showcased Cebu’s famous Sinulog Festival in her national costume designed by Keith Bacayo.

Emilia Hann shared in a media interview that she personally chose to wear a Sinulog Festival Queen-inspired costume and paraded it on the international pageant stage.

“I am a proud Cebuana. I want to showcase my home,” said Hann who also won the Best in National Costume award.

The Cebuana beauty from the town of Brili also showcased the beauty of Filipino culture by performing various Pinoy folk dances accompanied by Angeline Quinto’s “Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas” during the Talent showcase held on September 19.

Hann, a mother of two children, also bagged 3 other special awards such as Best in Talent, People’s Choice Award, and Queen of Substance Award.

“I am so happy. I prepared for it. I worked hard for it,” Emilia Hann shared during her interview with CDN Digital.

Emili Encabo-Hann is married to American Steve Hann and is the mother to Lorraine and William. The beauty queen works with Kiwani International, a global organization of volunteers focusing on children and community welfare.

With her achievement as Mrs. Globe International Queen 2019, Hann joins the list of Filipina beauty queens who have brought pride, glory, and crowns to the Philippines this 2019.

Kapampangan beauty Francesca Taruc started the Philippines’ campaign to win international pageant crowns after she snagged the Miss Tourism World 2019 Intercontinental title in Nanjing, China in January.

Filipino-Australian beauty Karen Gallman won the Philippines’ first Miss Intercontinental crown also in January at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Paranaque City’s Avon Morales was crowned Mrs. Asia Pacific Global 2019 and won special awards such as Mrs. Photogenic, Mrs. Elegance, Mrs. Social Media Queen, and the title of Special Queen Ambassador in Malaysia.

Leandra Bantingan of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan bagged the Miss Tourism Ambassador Universe 2019 title in July in a coronation held in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

Shiela DeForest who hails from Laguna clinched the Mrs. Eco International 2019 crown in July in Las Vegas, Nevada where she also won the Best Eco Video, Best Charitable Giver, and Best Eco Costume awards.
