Filipino-Chinese beauty Reins Mika is representing the Philippines in the ongoing 37th Elite Model Look (EML) World Final Competition.
Mika is the only Filipino and Asian model out of the five world finalists competing under the “Digital Creator” category of the prestigious modeling contest whose winner will be handpicked by Elite Model Management, a renowned agency that has launched the careers of top supermodels Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bündchen, and Alessandra Ambrosio, among others.
“Mabuhay Philippines 🇵🇭 I’m super excited to announce that I’ve been chosen to represent the Philippines as a finalist in the 2020 Elite Model Look World Final Competition to compete for a top contract with the Elite World Group,” Mika wrote in an Instagram post on December 17, 2020.
The 21-year-old is currently being represented by the Philippine Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP) and has appeared in various magazines and campaigns for local brands like Human, Rustan’s, Bench, and 0917 Lifestyle.
Reins Mika also shared a few things about herself on the Elite Model Look website including her dreams and hopes for the future. The young Filipina with a passion for writing and the arts described her personality as “creative, driven” and “sweet.”
“My biggest hope for the future is for young women to never underestimate themselves. No matter how big or small the challenge can be it doesn’t determine what’s possible for you,” Mika said.
“It’s definitely important to always remind ourselves to be bigger than our fears because we are capable of anything if we put our hearts and minds towards it,” she adds.
