Christine Allado to star in West End’s Cinderella and Prince of Egypt in London

Filipino-British actor and singer Christine Allado is all set to star in the London stagings of two of the world’s most beloved musicals, Cinderella and The Prince of Egypt.

Christine Allado will headline Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Tony Award-winning musical’s “CInderella In Concert” that is set to have its United Kingdom premiere run on October 20 at the historic Cadogan Hall in Chelsea.

Allado will be the show’s Ella, singing in the contemporary retelling of the classic fairy tale by the creators of all-time favorite musicals, South Pacific and The Sound of Music.

Christine Allado will be seen next on West End’s staging of The Prince of Egypt, essaying the role of Tzipporah, the wife of Moses, in the new musical from three-time Academy Award-winner Stephen Schwartz.

The new musical is based on the hit DreamWorks Animation Film and will feature Allado singing the Academy Award-winning song, “When You Believe”.

Christine Allado as Tzipporah will be on stage at the Dominion Theatre beginning February 5, 2020, with the main cast including Luke Brady as Moses, Liam Tamne as Ramses, and Alexia Khadime as Miriam.

Christine Allado was recently seen on stage as part of the original London cast of Hamilton: The American Musical, essaying the dual role of Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds and as Eliza Schuyler. She was nominated as Best Supporting Actress in a Musical by the London audience’s WhatsOnStage Awards and by the International Achievement Recognition Awards.

Christine Allado’s acting and music credits include playing the role of “Vanessa” for In The Heights at Kings Cross Theatre, “Dovee” in Here Lies Love at the National Theatre), television’s Rhyme Time Town for Dreamworks Animation and Netflix, “Maria” in West Side Stories – The Making of a Classic
for BBC/Reef TV, and The Clockmakers Daughter for Auburn Jam Records and David Ball Productions.

The renowned international talent who fuses her classical soprano roots with a contemporary spin of pop, musical theatre, and jazz, has performed with Andrea Bocelli Cinema and Si arena tours in Europe and Asia.
