Filipino-American artists H.E.R. and Grayson Villanueva have bagged nominations in the 65th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.

The two artists of Filipino descent were announced among the nominees of the prestigious awards set to air live from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on February 5, 2023.

3 for H.E.R.

Singer-songwriter Gabriella “Gabi” Wilson, better known professionally as H.E.R. (Having Everything Revealed), is featured in the track “Good Morning Gorgeous” with singer Mary J. Blige which is nominated for Record Of The Year and Best R&B Song.

H.E.R. is also featured in the dance hit “Intimidated” with KAYTRANADA, a nominee for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.

The Fil-Am R&B songstress who grew up embracing her heritage became a five-time Grammy winner in last year’s awards following her double wins in 2018 and another two Grammys in 2021.

1 for Grayson Villanueva

Grayson Villanueva, featured in the Disney Pixar feature film “Turning Red”, is nominated under the Best Song Written For Visual Media for “Nobody Like U”, one of the original songs in the movie.

The award-winning vocal arranger and music producer voices Tae Young in the Disney hit. He joins the members of 4-Town which performed original songs in the film, including “U Know What’s Up”, “1 True Love”, and the Grammy-nominated “Nobody Like U”.

Five proudly Filipino-American artists bagged 22 top nominations in last year’s 64th Grammy Awards.
