Filipino-American Hollywood actor-musician Darren Criss has joined NBC’s “The Voice” and will appear as a battle advisor on singer Nick Jonas’ team.
The Emmy-winning musical competition series “The Voice” revealed a star-studded line-up of advisors including Criss on February 1, 2021, who will team up with returning coaches Nick Jonas, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton when the show comes back for Season 20.
“Glee” alum and multi-awarded Darren Criss will be on Team Nick, Grammy-winning artist Luis Fonsi on Team Kelly, R&B singer Brandy on Team Legend, and Grammy-winning country music duo Dan + Shay on Team Shelton.
The Fil-Am Hollywood star shared on social media about being a battle advisor for the Jonas Brothers singer who will be back in the red chair for “The Voice.”
“I know I joke a lot about being a bonus Jonas. But I guess if you joke enough about something, dreams… come… true? That’s the saying, right?” Darren Criss wrote in an Instagram post.
Actors Darren Criss and Nick Jonas both starred in the Broadway musical “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.” Criss was also co-star to screen star and recording artist Nick Jonas in the historical flick “Midway” released in 2019.

The Voice judge Nick Jonas wore Filipino designer Michael Cinco’s clothes in the Jonas Brothers music video while Kelly Clarkson presented Fil-Am comedian Jo Koy and the Philippines in her show.
