Filipino-American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo is dominating major streaming charts everywhere with her debut single “Drivers License” and has broken the all-time U.S. Spotify record for the biggest single-day streamed song.

The 17-year-old Disney actress’ smash hit produced by Conan Gray and Dan Nigro was streamed over 6 million times on its debut, the most for a song in a single day ever in U.S. Spotify history, according to Chart Data.

“Drivers License” already made its way to No. 1 in the U.S. iTunes Top 100 chart, Apple Music’s Top 100: Global chart, and Spotify’s Global Top 100 just a few days after its official release on January 8, 2021.

As of this writing, the music video for “Drivers License” has amassed over 22 million views on YouTube.

The star of the High School Musical: The Series says she penned the sentimental ballad which tackles heartbreak and freedom while in quarantine.

“uhhhhhh so drivers license is the number one song in the world rn. never in my wildest dreams did I expect this. thank u guys so much for listening. I can’t believe this is real life,” Olivia Rodrigo wrote in an Instagram post.

Pinoy boy band Soundbreak19 (SB19) recently broke the record for being the only Southeast act in Billboard’s “Top Social 50 Artists” for 2020.
