Filipino digital painter Rebie Ramoso has been featured in the Italian Atlas of Contemporary Art – the only Filipino among 800 artists in the latest edition of the renowned art book.

Ramoso represents Philippine artistry in the massive volume of a thousand pages dedicated to complete the mapping of Italian artistic context.

The digital painter shared to social media on July 27, 2020, the honor of being featured in the Atlas saying:

“I am honored to be one of two Asians, and the only Filipino featured in the atlas. This is a strong reminder of who I really am and what I want to share with the world.”

The Filipino artist earned the approval of the scientific committee for the Atlante dell’Arte Contemporanea 2020 (Atlas of Contemporary Art) which was launched at the MAXXI Foundation, National Museum in Rome on June 5, 2020.

The young artist, who studied painting at the University of the Philippines Diliman and Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University where she graduated cum Claude, expresses art that inspires empathy.

Art critic and Artistic Director, Dr. Rosi Raneri wrote of Ramoso’s works stating:

“The strength of the artistic research of young artist, Rebie, is that she dwells in capturing the emotion and psychology of experiences, allowing us to understand the motivations of the women in her paintings; such that we are moved to visually read their thoughts.”

Ramoso’s works have been featured in solo and collective exhibitions locally and internationally and can be viewed on her website.

Listed below are some of her award-winning digital paintings and exhibits:
