Filipino-German Sabrina Merlina Binder’s victory in the Miss Supranational Germany 2022 is being celebrated by pageant fans as a back-to-back win for the Philippines in the Western European country’s national pageant.
The beauty of Filipino descent made pageant history as the successor of Miss Supranational Germany 2021 titleholder Denisse Nicolle Ligpitan who is also half Filipina and half German.
The 25-year-old beauty queen from Munich bested other candidates to win the Miss Supranational Germany 2022 title during the national competition held at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin on January 7, 2022.
Sabrina had previously represented the Filipino community in Germany at the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 where she made it into the Top 25 of the competition.
The newly crowned beauty queen is now preparing to represent Germany in the upcoming Miss Supranational 2022 pageant to be staged reportedly in Poland later this year.
It could be recalled that two Filipino-German beauties from the Philippines have already brought pride and glory to the country by winning their respective international beauty pageants.
Actress-turned-beauty queen Pia Alonzo Wurztbach won the Philippines’ third Miss Universe crown in 2015 while beauty queen-turned actress Thia Thomalla became the first Filipina to win the Miss Eco International crown in 2018.
