Filipino teen Fatima A-Isha Hamsain climbs to No. 2 eKumite World Rank

Filipino teen athlete Fatima A-Isha Hamsain has climbed to No. 2 on the eKumite World Rankings after her gold-winning performance at the prestigious virtual event of the SportData eTournament World Series.

Hamsain, a student of eKata World No. 1 James De Los Santos at the Maharlika Karatedo Kai of the Philippines Int. (MKKPI), shot up to World No. 2 of the Under-15 Female eKumite World Rankings after her gold-winning performance at the SportData event on November 28, 2020.

Fatima Hamsain won against her competitor from Germany in the semifinals and picked up her gold in the finals match against Indonesia.

Hamsain was trained by her chief instructor and De Los Santos’ former teammate, Gierby Lacorte.

It was also at the same virtual Sportdata event where James De Los Santos won his 24th gold in the season, solidifying his hold on the No. 1 spot of the World eKata Rankings.

Fatima Hamsain previously defeated Denmark for the gold in the E-Karate Games 2020 #2 in the U16 Shotokan Individual Female eKata division.
