Makers Without Borders features science journalists in observation of World Press Freedom Day.

A free webinar on Science, Technology, and Innovation Journalism in the 4th Industrial Revolution is going live on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, to mark World Press Freedom Day.

The discussions cover the use of the Internet as a platform to communicate simple science concepts, the challenges of positive reporting, the use of media to encourage local startup founders, businesses, and entrepreneurs to engage in innovation-based ventures, the use of critical journalism to convince policymakers to prioritize or improve the science and technology sector, and the different country-approaches in promoting science, technology, and innovation.

The gathering of science journalists and media champions is this month’s feature in the “Makers without Borders” webinar series of the United States Embassy’s American Spaces Philippines.
