The PHILSME Business Show closed its second season with a powerhouse finale released on June 23, 2025, featuring two empowered Filipinas at the forefront of media and tech: Angie Quadra Balibay, Managing Editor of GoodNewsPilipinas.com, and Mabell Gonzalo, President of FuTECH Innovations Inc.
The show began its journey in 2024 with its pilot episode featured in this Good News Pilipinas article about the launch of the PHILSME Business Show podcast, which introduced its mission to uplift and inspire MSMEs through conversations with real-life business leaders.
Both organizations are featured members of the Philippine SME Business Network, also known as PHILSME—The Home of the Philippines’ Top Business Solution Providers Empowering SMEs. The network is a professional membership group offering products and services that support the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Start-Ups, and Entrepreneurs. In the Season 2 finale, the two guests shared how their platforms are helping Filipino businesses thrive. “At GoodNewsPilipinas.com, we solve the biggest challenge facing professionals and businesses in the Philippines now—which is basically visibility and credibility online,” said Quadra Balibay. “When a brand comes online on our platforms… it puts them along with other brands who are good news, who are good narratives for everyone.”
Gonzalo highlighted how FuTECH’s indoor advertising and digital solutions help entrepreneurs simplify operations and gain exposure: “There are small businesses who keep having their brands in our network because they get customers… so in our own little way, we’re able to elevate the expansion and the exposure of SMEs.”
This message of empowerment echoes the launch of the GNP Academy for Entrepreneurs at PHILSME 2024, an initiative aimed at mentoring Filipino MSMEs in growing their digital presence and maximizing opportunities in a connected economy.
The conversation between Gonzalo and Balibay reflected the heart of the PHILSME Business Show—a platform that informs, empowers, and uplifts MSMEs and startup founders navigating the challenges of the digital economy.
