Hollywood’s top comedian Jo Koy continues to celebrate his Filipino heritage in a new video about freedom.
The top 10 ranking comedian on The Hollywood Reporter Social Climbers Charts actually puts the spotlight on the unique cultural traits of Pinoys that are practiced in the United States.
In the new video message that Jo Koy released to mark the 121st Philippine Independence Day in June, the Netflix Comin’ In Hot star again plays up Pinoy culture – this time to poke fun at how Filipinos should celebrate freedom.
In true Jo Koy brand of comedy, he points out freedom from funny stereotypes as images of Philippine iconic scenes flash in the background.
Jo Koy wraps his 1 minute video message to Filipinos on a serious note saying, “Freedom isn’t easy. It’s a beautiful, complicated thing. But it’s worth fighting for.
“Because only when you are truly free, can you be the Filipino you were meant to be.”
