Hollywood journalist Janet Susan Nepales’ first book featuring Filipino fashion on the red carpet is now available on Amazon.
“FASHION. Filipino. Hollywood. The World.”, originally published in a limited 12 x 14 hardbound coffee table edition, have all sold out.
The Amazon release of the acclaimed book tribute to Filipino fashion designers’ genius comes in a handier 8.5 x 11 paperback version.
Nepales’ book features stunning spreads of fashion, including red carpet photos of top stars, talents, and celebrities, mostly taken by ace Hollywood photographer, Fil-Am Sthanlee B. Mirador with book layout and design by Bessie Badilla.
The Hollywood journalist’s debut book features more than 200 pages of full-color photos of glamour and style.
Fifteen Filipino fashion designers are highlighted, along with the world’s best couturiers, as showcased in photos of their beautiful creations. Photos by renowned fashion lensmen, led by Filbert Diego Kung, are also highlighted in the book.

Fashion designers of Filipino descent featured in the book include United Arab Emirates-based Michael Cinco who has dressed the likes of Leona Lewis and Kris Aquino.
The book is a milestone for Nepales, the first Filipina member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The Filipino American author is a consistent winner in the National Entertainment Journalism Awards, a U.S.-wide competition, and the Southern California Journalism Awards, both presented by the Los Angeles Press Club.
Born and raised in Quezon City, Philippines, Nepales has a weekly online column, “Hollywood Insider”, and is a Hollywood correspondent of the top TV network.
The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Journalism cum laude graduate was recognized by the Filipina Women’s Network (FWN) as one of the 100 Most Influential Filipino Women in the U.S. in 2012 and one of the 100 Most Influential Filipino Women in the World in 2013. Janet Nepales is one of the 75 Most Influential Filipino-Americans (MIFA) of 2020.
Nepales is a co-author of the first FWN book, “DISRUPT: Filipina Women: Proud. Loud. Leading Without A Doubt.”
Janet is the wife of journalist-author Ruben V. Nepales and the mother of two daughters – Bianca Nicole and Rafaella Angelica.
