Jollibee opens 1st-ever New York Times Square store

Filipino food brand Jollibee has opened its first-ever store in the heart of New York Times Square, marking an important milestone in the homegrown restaurant chain’s international expansion plan.

Jollibee’s new store is the brand’s fourth location in the said state, following Jollibee Group’s large-scale plans of growing its presence in the U.S. and Canada, and growing to 500 stores in the next five to seven years.

The flagship store’s opening day on August 18, 2022, was welcomed by hundreds of fans who started lining up as early as 8:30 pm the previous day.

The new Times Square store is located in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City, which is among the busiest commercial and entertainment hubs in the world.

Jollibee’s successful opening in Times Square comes at the heels of its other openings which also saw a strong reception from the local community. Its recent openings include its first in Downtown Los Angeles and first in Northern Virginia. It is also slated to open more stores in California, Pennsylvania, and Florida in the U.S.; and British Columbia in Canada.

Jollibee welcomed diners to its fare that includes crowd favorites Chickenjoy, the sweet Filipino-style Jolly Spaghetti, and Peach Mango Pie.
