Filipina tennis champion Alexandra “Alex” Eala has just won her first match to gain a spot in Round 2 of the W15 Castellon pro tourney in Spain.

The World No. 2-Ranked Tennis Junior bested her Spanish competitor on November 3, 2020 (November 4 Philippine Time) to successfully open her W15 campaign.

The 15-year-old Alex Eala defeated 24-year-old Alba Carrillo Marin, 6-1, 7-6 (2), at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Women’s Tennis Tour that will run until November 8.

The teen tennis sensation joined the pro tournament as she returned to Spain after her historic semis finish at the French Open in October.

Earlier in August, Eala who trains at the Rafa Nadal Academy dominated the Toni Nadal Heliocare tournament held in Mallorca.

Alex Eala turned professional and played her first pro match at the Women’s Futures Tunisia in March.

Eala will next meet Oksana Selekhmeteva of Russia in Round 2 of the W15 Castellon pro tourney for the prize money of $15,000.

SEND CONGRATULATIONS in the comments below to Alex Eala for winning her 1st match and gaining a spot in round 2 of the W15 Castellon pro tourney.
