Boholana singer Hannah Precillas is back to the Philippines after successfully raising the country’s colours in Indonesia by winning the 2nd runner-up title in the recently concluded Dangdut Academy (D’Academy) Asia 5.

The GMA Network Kapuso singer aced every round of Indonesia’s biggest talent competition and won the hearts of the judges and of the audience through her powerful performances.

Hannah Precillas made it to the Top 6 last December with her rendition of the Indonesian song ‘Nafsu Serakah’ and secured a spot in the final 3 with her performance of ‘Si Kecil’ and ‘Anak Yang Malang’.

The Kapuso shows OST singer made Filipinos and Indonesians proud for making it to the grand finals. The remaining Filipino contender and the only female contestant competed against Indonesia’s bets, Fault LIDA and Randa LIDA.

The Pinay singer showcased her singing prowess by performing several Indonesian songs during the grand finals held on December 30. The Philippines’ contender eventually clinched the 2nd runner-up title.

Hannah Precillas expressed her gratitude to the organizer and her Indonesians supporters in her social media right after the competition.

The GMA contract-artist wrote of her Instagram post: “Terima kasih DAA5 @indosiar and all indonesians for this opportunity and for your warm welcome. This will be a very memorable moment for me. AKU CINTA KAMU BANYAK SEMUA!!”

Hannah Precillas first won the grand prize in GMA7’s talent competition, Bet ng Bayan, in 2014, which gave her singing opportunities and TV appearances prior to joining Dangdut Academy Asia 5 of Indonesia.

Congratulations and thank you for making us proud, Hannah!
