Kathryn Bernardo is once again a champion, this time not on the cinema box office, but as an animal lover, a pet owner, and now a certified animal welfare advocate for Compassion and Responsibility for Animals Welfare Philippines (CARA Welfare PH).
In an Instagram post on March 4, 2020, by @carawelfareph, Bernardo was welcomed as part of their CARA Welfare Philippines’ family. The post also says that Bernardo will be CARA’s champion and Ambassador for Animal Welfare promoting the following:
- Adopt a Cat from Kath
- Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return Program for Community Cats⠀
- Neuter is Cuter (Sterilization of Animals)
- Humane Education (Animal Welfare And Responsible Pet Ownership Education)
Photographer Gia Lara also revealed photos of her pictorial with Box Office Queen Kathryn Bernardo through the @petograpiya Instagram account. In the photoshoot, Kathryn is seen with different rescued animals while wearing various CARA advocacy shirts.
Gia Lara captioned the Instagram post with, “This was the day I became a #kathniel fan. My first volunteer work for 2020 is this photoshoot with Kathryn Bernardo @bernardokath x CARA @carawelfareph ❤️ Anything that I know will push awareness and spread love for pets most especially for puspins and aspins, I’m totally up for.
“What I will always treasure about this experience was how Kath really wanted to be close to these adorable beings, even if we were afraid in case she gets scratched in the process. It went smoothly and we were done in just 30 minutes! Part of it is because she’s a pro at posing and most importantly, her energy was just so pure being a pet lover herself.”
Not just an actress with a beautiful face, Bernardo is also a dedicated fur mom to her furbabies Cloud, Kaia, Tala, Snow, Storm, Chloe and Summer! Her pets even have their own Instagram account, where Kathryn and her boyfriend Daniel Padilla are listed as their parents. It even has a witty username: @bernadogcath
