I had the privilege of sitting down with Ms. Priscilla Marte, the powerhouse behind the Los Angeles Kids Fashion Show (LAKFS) and CEO of Marte Productions Inc.. Let me tell you, this woman is a force! From the runway to the community, she’s all about giving the next generation a platform to shine.
Through LAKFS, Priscilla has created more than just a fashion event. She’s built a movement—one that celebrates culture, boosts confidence in young talents, and creates a professional space where kids, especially Filipino Americans and other Asian youth, feel seen and celebrated.
What struck me most during our interview was her heart. You can tell this isn’t just about fashion—it’s about legacy, dreams, and making sure our young stars know they belong in every spotlight.
