Mister Philippines Paolo Gallardo of La Union successfully raised the country’s colors in Yangon, Myanmar by winning the Mister Grand International 2019 2nd Runner-up title.

The 19-year old senior high school student and model shined among the male contestants from all over the world and was proclaimed as one of the winners in the coronation night held on November 10 at the Taw Win Garden Hotel.

Ilocos region’s Gallardo earned the right to represent the Philippines in the international male pageant after being hailed as the grand winner in the national pageant held in September.

1st Runner-up – Brazil
2nd Runner-up – Philippines
3rd Runner-up – Thailand
4th Runner-up – Puerto Rico

Gallardo, an orphan since the age of 10, advocates for children’s welfare.

With his successful stint at the Mister Grand International in Myanmar, Paolo Gallardo joins the roster of Filipino men who recently competed abroad in the international pageants and brought honors to the Philippines, among them, Dancel Jan Mendoza of Nueva Ecija who won Mister Continental International 2019 in Malaysia, Mark Angelo Avila from Camarines Sur who bagged the Gentleman of the World 2019 in Indonesia, Valenzuela’s Willy Quinto who won Mister Working Men International 2019 in Thailand, and Taipan Paule of Pampanga who secured the Mister Eco Tourism title at the first Mister Tourism Globe 2019 pageant held in Albay.
