Lea Salonga’s new song ‘Dream Again’ is raising funds for global efforts to address the impact of COVID-19.

Proceeds from Broadway icon Lea Salonga’s new hit single ‘Dream Again’ will go to various COVID-19 efforts including charity organization The Actors Fund, which provides a safety net for people in the entertainment industry who are facing uncertain times.

On August 21, the renowned Filipina singer debuted ‘Dream Again’ on her Instagram page with a video showing her fans holding up sheets of paper with activities they’d like to do again once the virus is gone.

Prior to the song’s release, Salonga called on her followers to help her with the project.

The upbeat track instills hope and boosts morale amid the world under quarantine. Dream Again reminds listeners to look forward to better days. Salonga hopes that people will be ready to chase their dreams again once things revert back to normal.

To celebrate the song’s release, she performed the new single with a touching tribute to her followers around the world. The song was written by Blair Bodine and “Dream Lover” musical director Daniel Edmonds.

The video ends with Lea Salonga blowing a kiss to fans who relentlessly support her singing career.

Salonga’s daughter, Nicole Chien, was revealed to be the artist behind Dream Again’s cover art.

Dream Again is now available on all music streaming platforms.

The pledge drive is the singer’s newest relief effort. Salonga already raised 2 million pesos for health workers and the country’s urban poor through her free Facebook live concert last April.
