LeBron James’ signature shoe “Agimat” gets Pinoy makeover

The 2019 edition of the LeBron Nike Agimat shoes is inspired by Philippine folklore. Credits to Nike.

The signature “Agimat” Nike shoes of National Basketball Association’s star player LeBron James has received another makeover in 2019.

The Los Angeles Lakers small forward’s Philippine-inspired shoes for 2019 was officially revealed by Nike as the new Nike LeBron 16 Low x Titan “Agimat”.

LeBron James’ new Nike Agimat edition is two steps up from the LeBron 14 Agimat released in 2017 which carried the tag, “Mula Mandirigma, Sa Mandirigma (From Warrior to Warrior)” and dedicated to Pinoy ballers.

The shoes carried a symbol of volcanoes in the Philippines, bore the letters MNL as a shout out to ballers in Manila, and with graphics on the inside of the shoe bearing the likeness of Filipino traditional woven fabrics.

Nike revealed the official photos and description of the new LeBron shoes on
August 15: “Evolving LeBron James’ journey from Warrior to King, the latest LeBron 16 Low x Titan “Agimat” was inspired by Filipino folklore. Two new badges — a shield and a lightning bolt — are featured on the heels. The shield was inspired by the Bagobo tribe’s traditional armor, while the lightning bolt symbolizes power.”

The new Nike Agimat features a combined cushioning system, a stretch collar, and custom lacing.

The Nike LeBron 16 Low x Titan “Agimat” will be available August 31 at Titan Stores, the Titan App, TITAN22.com and nike.com in Southeast Asia and North America.
