Behind every man’s success is a woman – and in this case, a mother for the country’s Little Picasso Worth Lodriga who has been juggling his time being a Lasallian student, creating his art pieces, joining competitions, being interviewed by media, and even managing to post vlogs in between.

Worth’s mother Wendy Lodriga is an architect by profession who is also an artist and model – but more importantly a proud stage mom to his son and the woman behind his many achievements such as making the Top 10 of Frogs Are Green international art competition in New Jersey, U.S.A. and bagging his second 7-star Artist Award in the Junior Picasso Contest in India.

In an interview with Good News Pilipinas, Architect Lodriga shared how she supports Worth and encourages his talent. Lodriga recalls she also dreamed of pursuing art when she was a child herself but it did not materialize due to financial constraints.

Now that she’s a mother, the architect is dedicating her time and resources to support her son’s dream and passion for the arts.

The 9-year old grade school student of La Salle Greenhills recently just finished his Philippine Culture Series all in oil pastels:

  • “SIKAP AT TIYAGA” – a man striving hard for his future family with the Philippine flag behind him
  • “HARANA” – the man serenading the love of his life with love songs to win her heart
  • “KABIYAK” – the man and woman got married in traditional Filipino white wedding grab
  • “BUNGA” – the wife’s pregnancy as the fruit of love

His award-winning artworks mostly depict and are inspired from local icons such as farmers and tropical forests, just as he wears his Philippine-themed jackets in his media interviews and competitions.

Arch. Wendy shared to Good News Pilipinas that Worth told her he was once teased by his classmates for wearing Philippine-made jackets but what gave her chills is hearing from boy as young as Worth saying, “I will show them that Filipino-made products are good.”

The Philippines’ Little Picasso, even in his young mind, already knows how to show his love for the country and his pride at being a Filipino by promoting local products like his Philippine-made apparel.

“Because I want the whole world to know Filipinos are great artists,” Worth shared in a My Philippines Style video.

While winning competitions Worth has also started to give back by sharing his talent and conducting art workshops for less fortunate children.

A testament to the truth that behind Worth’s success is his supportive and nurturing mother Wendy, is the latest Promil TV commercial that shows Worth as its newest ambassador being nurtured by Wendy.

In his Facebook page, the young Lasallian artist dedicated his achievements to his mother and manager whom he refers to as Mom-ager – Arch. Wendy Lodriga – who is always there every step in his ladder of success.

Worth Lodriga wrote in caption, “Having someone who will nurture the gift God has given us. Dedicating this post to my hardworking mother who has always been there for me no matter what. My Art mentor since I was 2 years old til now, life coach, academic tutor, sports coach, provider, and my MOM-ager for fixing my schedules for my competitions, interviews and guestings. You rock Mom! Thanks for being the Architect of my awesome life! I am where I am now because of you! I love you Arch. Wendy A. Lodriga, UAP!”
