Filipinos will soon be able to quench their thirst for fresh carabao’s milk through a 24/7 vending machine that dispenses local dairy products from Filipino farmers.

The Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) of the Department of Agriculture announced the launch of the new dairy products vending machine through its Facebook page on September 17, 2021.

The project is the result of a joint collaboration between the PCC, the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), the Central Luzon State University-Central Luzon Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Consortium, and OneStorePh.

The automated vending machine aims to promote carabao’s milk and supplement the income of Filipino farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The vending machine will officially open to the public in October.

Filipino farmers in Pampanga are being supported by Filipino social enterprises to get their food to consumers amid the community quarantine while Cagayan Valley pineapple farmers were able to deliver their harvests to markets outside the region with the help of Department of Trade and Industry Region 2 ‘’Walang Sayang’’ Project.
