Marcelito Pomoy says he feels like a champion and a winner as America’s Got Talent judges and fans from all over the world sent him messages of congratulations and encouragement after he placed 3rd Runner Up at America’s Got Talent (AGT): Champions Season 2 which ended Tuesday (Philippine Time).

Pomoy, the man with many voices who is able to instantly switch from male tenor to female soprano in his rendition of world-famous duets “The Prayer”, “Time To Say Goodbye“, and “Beauty and the Beast” which he sang on AGT, was actually speechless on the AGT Champions Finale stage as his name was called as the fourth placer of the Top 5, amidst audibly disappointing sighs from the live audience.

His wife Joan was called on stage by host Terry Crews to speak for Marcelito. “He just wanted to say, ‘Thank you so much for everybody.’ This is a big, big opportunity for him. That’s all. Thank you so much,” Joan Pomoy said.

AGT judge Heidi Klum who was singing along with Pomoy as he opened the AGT Finale show singing Queen’s iconic hit song “We Are The Champions”, praised the Filipino singer.

“Marcelito, I love you so much. You have the most beautiful voice. Actually — the most beautiful voices inside of you. You are a champion. And thank you so much for sharing your talent with all of us,” Klum declared.

Judge Alesha Dixon went on social media to tweet her reaction. “Wow. I’m shocked.”
