Here is an Overseas Filipinos Voting Guide for Philippine Elections 2022 as the month-long casting of votes begins today coinciding with Palm Sunday.

Nearly 1.7 million overseas-based Filipino citizens start casting their votes on April 10, ahead of the 65.7 million Filipinos who will vote in local polling precincts on May 9, a Monday.

Overseas Filipinos are voting for the Philippines’ next:

  • 1 President
  • 1 Vice President
  • 12 Senators
  • 1 Party-list

Overseas Filipinos can cast votes in two ways depending on the designated mode by the host country as announced by the Philippine Embassy:

  1. PERSONAL: Personally vote at Philippine embassies, consulates, and other designated polling places. Bring a Philippine passport or identification certificate (for dual citizens), or any valid ID
  2. POSTAL: Receive the ballot through the mail and send back the ballot with the provided free postage stamp to the consular office or drop it off at embassy mailboxes by May 9
