Pinoy boy band Soundbreak19 (SB19) has taken the Top 6 spot on the Billboard Year-End Charts’ “Top Social 50 Artists” for 2020.

The Philippine Pop (P-pop) idol boy group is the only Southeast Asian group to enter the Top 10 on the annual Billboard charts that determines the most popular artists from around the world using data from social media platforms and fan engagement.

SB19 has been a mainstay in the Billboard global charts throughout the year, having earlier peaked at the number 2 spot in August next to South Korean superstars BTS.

The phenomenal Filipino group composed of Justin, Ken, Stell, Sejun, and Josh took to social media to announce their new achievement to fans – who are called “A’TIN” (pronounced as “eighteen”).

“#SB19 ranked at the 6th spot of the Billboard’s Top Social 50 Artists of 2020 — making them the only Filipino act to enter this year’s top 10!” SB19 wrote in an Instagram post on December 4, 2020.

“Thank you for the recognition, @billboardcharts And of course, to our beloved A’TIN, thank you for all of the unimaginable plot twists in our life. Too grateful to have you. Stay amazing, guys!” SB19 added.

SB19 is a five-member Filipino boy band, the first to be trained by a Korean entertainment company. The group debuted in 2018 in the Philippines and has been gaining recognition worldwide.

The group recently achieved another global feat as their song “Tilahula” debuted at the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s LyricFind Global Chart while the hit, “Hanggang Sa Huli” peaked at the third spot.

Also on the Billboard Year-End Charts’ Social 50 list are Korean pop performers BTS, EXO, NCT 127, Seventeen, ATEEZ, Tomorrow X Together, and Blackpink, who dominated the international chart that included American singers Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish.

To date, SB19 is the only Filipino and Southeast Asian act to make it to the top 10 of Billboard’s Social 50 chart. The all-Filipino group SB19 debuted on the United States Billboard chart for fast-rising acts last year.
