Hollywood’s top comedian Jo Koy is showcasing his Filipino heritage on his new Netflix show, “In His Elements”, streaming on Philippine Independence Day this June 2020.

The preview of the upcoming Netflix show on June 12 was released today on social media. In the video, Jo Koy was seen declaring, “I brought Netflix to the Philippines” and that “Every element in this show is Filipino”.

The Filipino-American on Hollywood Reporter’s Top Comedians List is known for poking fun at his Pinoy heritage and growing up with his Filipino mother Josie who brought her culture to America.

The preview shows Jo Koy riding the iconic Philippine jeepney of the original Sarao Motors, musicians, and food, among other Pinoy scenes filmed in January when the comedian was in the Philippines.

Jo Koy has been streaming his stand up comedy shows on Netflix with great success. He was also seen recently introducing, tongue-in-cheek, the Pinoy “tabo (dipper)” as a solution to toilet paper shortage which hit America and many other countries at the onset of the coronavirus disease outbreak.
