Team Philippines are champions of Beijing International Dragon Boat Tournament

Team Philippines emerged as champions in the 2019 Beijing International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament held during China’s Dragon Boat Festival.

Philippine Canoe Kayak Dragon Boat Federation announced the gold medal win for the Philippines’ Dragon Boat team. Team Philippines won in the Open Category in the 500 meters and 250 meters competitions held on June 7.

Team Bakunawa from Iligan won the silver medal for the 200 meters sprints.

Prior to the Beijing tournament, the Philippine Canoe Kayak Dragon Boat Federation team was also declared champions in the DBS Marina Regatta 2019 held on June 3 in Singapore.

Team Philippines were Champions in both the Premier Mixed and Premier Women’s categories. The Filipino dragon boat all-women team also finished 1st Runner Up in the Premier Open against all-male competitors.
