UP Law wins Int’l Moot Court Competition and Best Debater Award in Florida

The University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law triumphed at the International Rounds of the 22nd Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition (IEMCC) in Florida.

The UP Law students beat 22 other teams from 15 countries across the globe. In the final rounds, the UP Law team defeated the National Law Institute University of India. They, likewise, won second Best Memorial.

The team is composed of Marianne Crielle G. Vitug who was awarded Best Oralist, Marianne Angeli B. Estioco, fourth Best Oralist and Mikaela V. Bernardino. The team is coached by Prof. Rommel J. Casis.

The IEMCC was hosted by the Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida from March 22 to 24.

The Stetson IEMCC is the most prestigious environmental law moot court competition in the world, with over 80 teams vying for the coveted championship.
