This year’s CWUR ranking evaluated 21,462 universities, the largest academic ranking of its kind. Harvard University led the list.

CWUR bases its rankings on four key factors: education (25%), employability (25%), faculty (10%), and research (40%). It does not rely on surveys or data submissions from universities. Instead, it analyzed 74 million data points using 13 performance indicators, including publications, citations, books, international collaborations, conferences, and global and regional research reputations.
