Last year’s Disney Lola’s apo is all grown up and nurturing her own modern family in the American entertainment company’s new Christmas tale.

The Disney short film sequel to the 2020 “Lola” Christmas commercial which featured Filipino holiday traditions has been released in 2021 as a three-minute animated tale titled “The Stepdad”.

This year’s holiday story follows new stepdad Mike moving into the home of Nicole, the granddaughter from last year’s Christmas advert, and her two children, Max and Ella.

The heart-warming tale shows how a new modern family is nurtured by sharing and creating new traditions, including the Filipino star lantern parol-making.

For every download of the theme “Love runs Deeper” before December 31, 100% of the proceeds from the retail price will be donated to Make-A-Wish International.
