In the episode, host Kimmel addressed film production company Warner Brothers’ decision to halt the new Batman movie’s release in Russia and unveiled the film’s parody teaser trailer for the show’s audience.

The talk show-made parody trailer included scenes from the Batman comedy film starring Filipino actors Joey de Leon, Keempee de Leon, and Rene Requiestas.

The video was also posted on Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s official Twitter account.

“Warner Brothers will not be releasing @TheBatman in Russia, so the Kremlin unveiled a teaser trailer for their own,” the Twitter account of Jimmy Kimmel Live! wrote on March 3, 2022.

Filipino actor Joey de Leon, who plays Batman in the film, reacted to the Twitter post and thanked host Jimmy Kimmel for taking notice of the movie.

“Since uso ang remake ng #TheBatman ito naman ang remake ng #AlyasBatmanEnRobin ng @JimmyKimmelLive! Thank you, @jimmykimmel.” Joey de Leon wrote.

Meantime, the viral soft drink advertisement from RC Cola Philippines that shocked audiences across the country also made its way to American TV’s The Ellen Show.
