The newest solar engineers have been revealed as they joined the LIGHT IT FORWARD challenge to provide energy-deprived Filipinos with eco-friendly solar lamps.

Liter of Light, a Philippine-based social enterprise group behind the award-winning Light it Forward challenge which bagged the Asia Pacific Social Innovation and Partnership Award (APSIPA) in Taiwan, continues to unite social media influencers, celebrities, and laypeople in the pursuit of changing the world while staying at home.

The LIGHT IT FORWARD campaign is a chain of video challenges that seek to involve every capable Filipino in the goal of ending the energy poverty of 20 million Filipinos still living in darkness by hand-building energy-efficient and sustainable solar lamps that will be of use for the next 5 years.

The solar lighting movement also honors our brave and self-less COVID 19 frontliners as each hand-built lamp is dedicated to them.

Since the launch of the campaign in July, more than a hundred local celebrities that have over 30 million fan base have rallied behind the Filipino enterprise group to advocate the solar lighting movement for a cause.

The noble campaign invites ordinary people to do extraordinary things by being a light to others in need especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the video challenges spread, more and more Filipinos are joining including this latest batch of solar engineers.

Let these 8 solar challengers inspire you to spread light to others as well.
